Clinical Service Coordinator - Therapeutic Day Services

General Description

Provide Behavioral Health Treatment, Case management, Therapeutic Recreational services, coordinate family meetings, provide intake assessments when needed, maintain collateral contacts with providers and provide clinical oversight in Day Services. Half time position-4 hours per day.

Essential Job Functions

  • Complete diagnostic mental health/substance use assessment
  • Provide Direct Service with Direct Care staff in Options for Youth and South Forty Therapeutic Day Services programming including therapeutic recreational programming
  • Deliver recreational services both in the program location and off site locations
  • Schedule individual family meetings as needed
  • Provide transportation of youth to the program if needed
  • Assist Program Director and Direct Care staff in implementing the clinical milieu
  • Maintain client records, completing all necessary paperwork in a timely manner including required State documentation
  • Coordinate treatment components and communicate with all collateral agents and all sub-contractors
  • Provide treatment within guidelines established by the Brien Center
  • Follow all policies of the Brien Center 
  • Collaboration with external and internal staff including DMH case managers
  • Attend case conferences when required
  • Provide clinical leadership in group and recreational activities

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in regularly scheduled supervision
  • Consultation and supervision to BA level staff and/or graduate or undergraduate students
  • Attend required meetings and agency trainings
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or other clinical concentration, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC preferred
  • Diagnostic and treatment knowledge and skill
  • Extensive knowledge of the dynamics of behavioral health treatment, intervention and education
  • Experience in providing individual and group mental health/substance abuse and family counseling
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Ability to work on interdisciplinary team

  • Leadership talent and the ability to delegate effectively
  • Proficient computer skills in using web based e-mail and ability to data enter information into spreadsheets and word processing documents
  • Knowledge of community resources

Working Conditions

  • Works in office; temperature regulated,  outreach sites and recreational sites
  • Facilitate groups and recreational activities in other community locations
